Into The Light, Out From The Lights is an exhibition featuring the work of two recently graduated photographers from Glasgow School of Art, Jeff Edwards and Simone Kubik.
This exhibition creates a juxtaposition between their practices, which scrutinise the depiction of the human form and the values of light and darkness. From Edwards’ partial, close-up views and destructed surfaces swallowed up by darkness to Kubik’s studio-like, full frontal, arresting poses, flooded with stark lighting and smooth finish.
