ROWENA COMRIE: TERRAPLANES

Rowena Comrie’s Terraplanes are a dramatic critical comment on the contemporary experience of terror. A contemporary example of the philosophical idea of the sublime, they use flight as an explicit symbol, portraying drama, terror, excitement and danger.

Rowena Comrie trained in Fine Art at the University of Reading and has lived and worked in Scotland since 1987, currently from a studio in Glasgow’s Briggait.
