“The third red line is sex, and the same hard questions must be asked of private life if there is to be a lasting change in the public domain. How empowered can women be at the ballot box if they don’t control their own bodies? How will young people lead their societies f they can’t be trusted with the information and services to lead their own sexual lives? If men and women don’t communicate, don’t treat each other with respect in the bedroom, how will they work as equals in the board room?”
Come the Revolution Sex: sex, faith and politics in turbulent times- Shereen El Feki

Following a series of workshops and provocations with interested people on the subjects of sex education, political empowerment post Scotland’s referendum and the status of autonomy young people feel to harness their sexuality; The Arches Commons: Sexology Salon provides a space for younger and older voices to come together; we can stop, take stock and start again.

If you are interested in being a part of this process leading up to the live sexology event please email Jodie@thearches.co.uk with your age& why you are interested- putting Sexology Salon in the subject heading.
