The Gathering

The Gathering

Thu 24 Feb 2011 | 7.30pm | £3 (suggested donation)

A new opportunity to discover stories, poems and music with Glasgow’s storytelling talents, poets and acoustic musicians, interwoven with energetic impromptu jam sessions – all with a folk edge. The Gathering is a chance for closet performers of all kinds to bring along a story, song, rhyme or riddle to share.

Glaswegian comic Bruce Morton will help kick off the first event with a bang. First appearing on the comedy scene in 1988, Morton co-founded the Funny Farm Comedy Collective in 1989, and went on to win the first ever So You Think You’re Funny? New Act competition at the Edinburgh Fringe.

For more information, or to take part, contact or just come along, relax and enjoy these newly aired works in the intimate, cosy setting of the Arches foyer space.
