STREETrave present a special one-off party in celebration of thirty years of legendary Manchester club The Haçienda.
Iain ‘Boney’ Clark
Special Guest: Colin Barr
As part of The Haçienda’s thirtieth birthday celebrations marking three decades of the infamous Manchester club, Fac 51 The Hacienda returns to Glasgow with its long-standing promotion partners STREETrave for a very special event, bringing the inimitable vibes of Fac 51 north of the border for a one-off party which will see the very best of Glasgow and Manchester combine on the night.
We are delighted to announce that, headlining the extensive eight hour session will be legendary American house pioneer Todd Terry making a rare Scottish appearance – almost twenty years after his first time behind the Arches turntables. One of the most lauded and respected house DJs ever, Todd’s back catalogue sees his own productions such as Orange Lemon’s Dream Of Santa Anna, Black Riot’s A Day In The Life plus Just Make That Move and CLS’s Can You Feel It compete for space with his extensive repertoire of remixes, Pamela Fernandez’s Kickin’ In The Beat, his UK number one treatment of Everything But The Girl’s Missing and Cajmere’s Brighter Days, often featuring in his innovative and tightly constructed sets.
From the Hacienda side Todd is joined by the ever young Allister Whitehead. An opportunity to hear a true legend of the scene, his tasty garage grooves will warm up for Todd’s tougher side of US house while 808 State DJs bring their old school rave and techno slants to the event, providing the perfect counterpoint to Todd and Allister’s tastes for the best of American and European house.
We are also excited to welcome the legends that are K Klass for a full live set in what is now a rare live outing, airing classics such as Rhythm Is A Mystery, Let Me Show You and Why as well as newer tracks and remixes for the Glasgow faithful.
Joining The Haçienda for the event are many of the DJs who have made the Scottish scene – and especially STREETrave – so successful since the late 80s. With a wealth of experience between them, the likes of Jon Mancini, Iain ‘Boney’ Clark, Yogi Haughton, Craig Smith, Murray Richardson and special guest Colin Barr round off the line up with Bryan Love, Peter Farley and Kris Greig taking charge of the third room.
Across the Arches’ cavernous warehouse space, all three rooms will be dedicated to a celebration of Hacienda classics, now and then, in a unique and distinct event marking thirty years of The Hacienda’s influence and Manchester’s close relationship with the Glasgow clubbing fraternity.
Expect the very best of house music and techno, a clued-up and knowledgeable crowd and excellent sound, lighting and production. Hacienda 30 Glasgow looks set to match the recent events – in Scotland, Manchester and across the UK – for atmosphere and the very best of times…

As Scotland’s original superclub, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world.
Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to a continuous roster of the world’s most in demand DJs and producers from across the dance spectrum, whether it be minimal techno, big bassline electro, hardstyle, deep house, UK bass, dubstep or trance.
With a Funktion 1 soundsystem and three fully stocked bars spread over six subterranean arches, the space is transformed each weekend depending on the faces behind the decks. From huge, sell out nights with platinum selling Ibiza trendsetters such as Alesso and Laidback Luke or legendary acts such as Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, to the hottest, most-hyped names on the dance scene’s lips – from Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz to Jackmaster and Omar S, ours is one of the most diverse club programmes in the city.
As well as the Arches’ own club nights, which have recently brought the likes of Hot Creations label, Madeon and Chase & Status to the venue, for many fans the Arches is synonymous with either of its two biggest nights, Pressure and Colours.
Slam have now been playing and promoting in the Arches since 1992 with their monthly techno and house night Pressure celebrating it’s 16th anniversary in November 2014. Normally taking place on the last Friday of the month, Pressure sees the biggest names in the game playing regularly, with guests like Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Maya Jane Coles, Pan-Pot, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Len Faki, Dubfire, Gary Beck, Visonquest, Heidi, Vitalic and Green Velvet joining resident DJs Slam in recent times.
Scotland’s biggest dance promoter, Colours regularly bring the biggest and best names in big room house, tech-house, electro and trance to the venue, with recent guests including Alesso, Otto Knows, Laidback Luke, Dannic, Hardwell, Markus Schulz, Showtek, Gareth Emery, Nervo, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Nicky Romero and many more.
