The Arches and Date-n-Mates present
Thu 19 Jun 2014 | 7.30pm - Midnight | £8 on the door | £6 for dates-n-mates members
The Arches joins forces once again with Dates n Mates, a Glasgow-based dating agency for people with learning difficulties, and C-Change, a supported living charity, to host Scotland’s sixth and only inclusive ‘LATE’ club night for over 18’s.
The club night is open to all but especially welcoming people with learning disabilities. We recognised none of the mainstream night clubs offered a welcoming environment for people with learning disabilities. LATE is a space for people with and without disabilities to enjoy a safe and exciting nightclub experience.
Recognising that going to a nightclub for the first time can be a daunting experience – and thinking back to the transition between school discos and the odd house party, to queuing up at a nightclub on a Saturday night – this event provides people who may not have had the confidence, or felt they may have been excluded from clubbing in the past with an opportunity to go out, let their hair down and enjoy themselves, while feeling safe in their surroundings.
We are delighted to welcome back Capital FM’s Garry Spence and resident LATE DJ JP who make up 2 of a mammoth 5 DJ’s taking you through till 12am.
Tickets cost £8 on the door or £6 for dates-n-mates members.
If you have any questions or would like to purchase tickets please contact Liz Irving or Megan Spence on 0141 427 2957 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Please enter through Argyle Street entrance
“The first LATE club night was in April 2012 and due to its huge success LATE has moved to three-a-year in 2014. This is THE club night to be seen at, with over 100 dates-n-mates members attending each one we are proud to be continually supported by The Arches year-on-year”.

As Scotland’s original superclub, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world.
Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to a continuous roster of the world’s most in demand DJs and producers from across the dance spectrum, whether it be minimal techno, big bassline electro, hardstyle, deep house, UK bass, dubstep or trance.
With a Funktion 1 soundsystem and three fully stocked bars spread over six subterranean arches, the space is transformed each weekend depending on the faces behind the decks. From huge, sell out nights with platinum selling Ibiza trendsetters such as Alesso and Laidback Luke or legendary acts such as Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, to the hottest, most-hyped names on the dance scene’s lips – from Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz to Jackmaster and Omar S, ours is one of the most diverse club programmes in the city.
As well as the Arches’ own club nights, which have recently brought the likes of Hot Creations label, Madeon and Chase & Status to the venue, for many fans the Arches is synonymous with either of its two biggest nights, Pressure and Colours.
Slam have now been playing and promoting in the Arches since 1992 with their monthly techno and house night Pressure celebrating it’s 16th anniversary in November 2014. Normally taking place on the last Friday of the month, Pressure sees the biggest names in the game playing regularly, with guests like Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Maya Jane Coles, Pan-Pot, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Len Faki, Dubfire, Gary Beck, Visonquest, Heidi, Vitalic and Green Velvet joining resident DJs Slam in recent times.
Scotland’s biggest dance promoter, Colours regularly bring the biggest and best names in big room house, tech-house, electro and trance to the venue, with recent guests including Alesso, Otto Knows, Laidback Luke, Dannic, Hardwell, Markus Schulz, Showtek, Gareth Emery, Nervo, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Nicky Romero and many more.
