“We are very pleased to announce the Scottish club debut from one of dance music’s brightest young stars. On Saturday 20th October the one and only Porter Robinson will be playing a very special show for Colours – the official afterparty for the Arches’ 21st Birthday celebrations. Porter entered the UK Top 10 Singles Chart in August with the huge smash hit Language and has been setting the festival circuits alight with his exciting style of performance. Expect to hear a world of tunes mixed together in the way only Porter Robinson can. This 20-year-old talent has been touted by peers such as Tiësto, Skrillex and Deadmau5 as one of the nu-breed saviours of electronic music, and having only experienced the limelight for a short amount of time, his achievements suggest a very bright future.
Cedric Gervais has had an extraordinary life. As a young teenager Cedric, who is originally from Marseilles, headed to St Tropez. There he got a summer residency at the famed Papa Gaio club. He was only 14 years old – not even legally old enough to party with the people he played for. This quickly turned into a residency at Paris’ Queen club. Knowing the only path for him was music, Cedric pleaded with his father to take him out of school so he could concentrate on DJing. So onto 2012 and Cedric’s latest smash Molly looks set to be his biggest yet. Madonna announced the track on stage at Ultra Festival and it became the soundtrack to 2012 WMC; Pete Tong loved it so much he played it 5 times consecutively on air making it his Essential new tune; and it then became Radio One’s Scott Mills Record of the Week and stayed on its playlist for weeks.
For a DJ who only started playing clubs and venues five years ago, Danny Howard’s rise to success has been almost as fast as his heroes of the dance scene…. Hailing from the North West of England, Danny has already established himself as a genuine next level DJ in a very short space of time. Throughout his career Danny has already had great success playing at various venues across the UK and internationally gaining residencies at Ministry Of Sound as well as the UK’s biggest superclub The Syndicate in Blackpool.”

As Scotland’s original superclub, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world.
Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to a continuous roster of the world’s most in demand DJs and producers from across the dance spectrum, whether it be minimal techno, big bassline electro, hardstyle, deep house, UK bass, dubstep or trance.
With a Funktion 1 soundsystem and three fully stocked bars spread over six subterranean arches, the space is transformed each weekend depending on the faces behind the decks. From huge, sell out nights with platinum selling Ibiza trendsetters such as Alesso and Laidback Luke or legendary acts such as Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, to the hottest, most-hyped names on the dance scene’s lips – from Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz to Jackmaster and Omar S, ours is one of the most diverse club programmes in the city.
As well as the Arches’ own club nights, which have recently brought the likes of Hot Creations label, Madeon and Chase & Status to the venue, for many fans the Arches is synonymous with either of its two biggest nights, Pressure and Colours.
Slam have now been playing and promoting in the Arches since 1992 with their monthly techno and house night Pressure celebrating it’s 16th anniversary in November 2014. Normally taking place on the last Friday of the month, Pressure sees the biggest names in the game playing regularly, with guests like Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Maya Jane Coles, Pan-Pot, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Len Faki, Dubfire, Gary Beck, Visonquest, Heidi, Vitalic and Green Velvet joining resident DJs Slam in recent times.
Scotland’s biggest dance promoter, Colours regularly bring the biggest and best names in big room house, tech-house, electro and trance to the venue, with recent guests including Alesso, Otto Knows, Laidback Luke, Dannic, Hardwell, Markus Schulz, Showtek, Gareth Emery, Nervo, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Nicky Romero and many more.
