Jeff Mills // Pan-Pot // Slam

Fri 25 Mar 2011 | 10.30pm-3am | £17 + bf

Detroit legend Jeff Mills should need no introduction. As one of the founding members of seminal Detroit techno movement Underground Resistance he has been championing techno worldwide for almost 30 years, becoming a well known cult figure in the genre. Every year sees Jeff flying all over the world to spread the gospel of techno, whilst still managing to find the time to run one of the most influential labels in techno Axis Records, as well as sub-labels Purpose Maker, Tomorrow, 6277 and Tresor.

The last few years have seen Jeff hard at work in the studio once again, resulting in the Something In The Sky series – a more floaty, experimental take his sound. With his most recent albums The Occurrence and The Drummer 26 reaffirming Mills’ place at the very top of the techno tree, it’s hard to see him being anywhere else for a long time to come.

When not in the studio producing or remixing, in their own unique way, any one of dozens of acts, Berlin based duo Pan-Pot can be found touring the globe spreading their inimitable sound far and wide. Their DJ sets see them playing back to back and are unconstrained by boundaries as they seamlessly blend techno, house and everything imaginable in between, showing that they know exactly how to work a crowd up to fever pitch.

Once you’ve experienced one of Pan-Pot’s immense DJ sets you will never forget it. Their vision, passion, and love of music continues to drive the pair and their most recent releases, Confronted and Captain My Captain, have elevated their status within the techno scene even further.
