Young Glaswegian techno producer Gary Beck has risen to become one of the most respected artists in the game. His releases have grabbed the attention of of both DJs and dance music aficionados the world over, allowing him to take his sound on tour from South America to Asia to Europe. His debut album is released on his home-town record label Soma Records, where he has already released some of his biggest records to date. Beck is a DJ how know exactly what the dancefloor needs next and is truly one of Glasgow’s best electronic exports.
Joining Gary on the night is Germany’s Chris Liebing; the man with the biggest smile in techno. For those that don’t know, Chris runs one of Europe’s most established brands, CLR, which combines a record label, club tours and an incredibly successful podcast series. Tough loop based techno is the order of the day when Liebing steps up.
Following on from DJing with Marcel Dettmann at August Pressure, Slam up the ante with a stellar line-up of cutting-edge techno. Stuart and Orde have had a remarkably busy summer with festivals, club dates and a serious surge in productions and remixes. Releases on their own Soma Records, Len Faki’s Figure & Adam Beyer’s Drumcode labels have seen the duo rise to the top of the download charts again.
After a Pan-Pot summer of non-stop touring the German duo return to Glasgow. They have spent the last few months jetting across the planet, with one of the highlights being the Mobilee Rooftop party at Sonar with Slam. Residents at Berlin’s Watergate club, Pan-Pot are leading the 10 Years of Watergate Tour.
DC10/CircoLoco (Ibiza) resident Matthias Tanzmann will join Pan-Pot in the 10 Years of Watergate room. The Moon Harbour label owner has his edition of the famed ‘Fabric’ mix CD out now. The highly prestigious mix series is a who’s who of House, Tech-House & Techno which Tanzmann is deservedly part of.
Also joining the Watergate celebrations is Berlin producer and DJ &Me has garnered some well deserved attention in the last 12 months with big releases on Nic Fancuilli’s Saved Records alongside several with the Keinemusik collective.
