Walls are Sam Willis (aka one half of Death Disco/Optimo favourite Allez Allez) and Alessio Natalizia, a Manchester-born London-living electronic duo whose very hyped self-titled first album was one of the most exciting things to happen to 2010, introducing guitars to layered synths and ambient vocals to produce a small masterpiece in simmering bliss which made it into end of year lists from Mojo to NME.

The more dance-orientated Coracle came out last September with its first single being Sunporch – shimmering, euphoric, and as sun-drenched as the title suggests, it’s probably their best known track to date and for good reason; by this point, their list of impressive fans included Jamie xx, Caribou, James Holden and Battles, with whom them went on tour last year.

Their live shows are special. Garnering a reputation as being variously “ecstatic” (to quote a Facebook fan) and “full on and freaked out” (to quote the duo themselves), we are very much looking forward to experiencing this set unfurl, layer upon layer, in the fitting confines of the Stereo basement.

Given that John Talabot’s celebratory layered, looping, building house, Lorca’s 2-step tinged electronica and the ethereal, ambient spaciousness of Becoming Real are some of the most perfectly complimentary sounds we can think of – not to mention a whole upstairs floor curated by new promoter Sync In Squares – fans of any of the above should save this date in their diary now.
