DF Concerts presents

Young Fathers

Sat 2 Mar 2013 | 7pm | SOLD OUT

Much-hyped Glasgow electro trio Churches make their Arches debut as part of their first UK headline tour.

No. 5 in the BBC Sound of 2013 poll, live sessions for Radio 1, one of the Observer’s Ones To Watch and a tour with Passion Pit… and all in the space of less than a year. It’s safe to say that Chvrches are one of the hottest and most hyped new acts around.

Despite members coming together from various Glasgow indie projects (Blue Sky Archives, Aereogramme, The Unwinding Hours and The Twilight Sad), as CHVRCHES the trio favour a hard and sweet electro pop, moulded by influences from Prince and Michael Jackson to The Knife and Robyn. Their first single Lies caused an underground sensation after being platformed on electro-centric hip blog Neon Gold, with follow up The Mother We Share happily confirming many expectations amongst fans.

This hometown show, one of only a handful Glasgow dates performed so far, comes as part of their first UK headline tour. Support comes from Anticon’s latest signing Young Fathers.
