Factory Floor

The Arches presents

Factory Floor

Live at Death Disco

Sat 17 Sep 2011 | 8.30pm-midnight at SWG3 (Factory Floor around 11pm) | £14/£7

The hype around Factory Floor has already begun in this city – their latest single Real Love, all tight 80s synths, hollow kick drums and sinister echoing vocals, was put out on Glasgow’s own Optimo Records this April, alongside an epic club-orientated Optimo Espacio remix. Sparse and bleak, their electronics and raw instrumentation screams Factory Records era depression chic – right enough, ex-New Order drummer Stephen Morris has been remixing and producing for them since receiving a demo featuring Lying and Wooden Box.

The band will be playing as part of September’s Death Disco: Trans-Europe Expressway event, which sees live bands and DJs spread across the Arches and West End arts space SWG3 for the night, with a special disco-bus service running between the venues all night.
