Creating a lush, dreamy, multilingual melange of romantic indie-pop, French chanson and Afro-funk, the charmingly quirky Frànçois and the Atlas Mountains are hard to classify but easy to love, especially after listening to their newly sophisticated 2014 album Piano Ombre. Following a recent tour in Africa, they’re joined tonight by two new friends from Burkina Faso, Sanou Darra on balaphon and Djiga Boubacar on ngoni.

One of Scotland’s hardest-gigging bands, Kid Canaveral reap the benefits in the tautly focused force of their ebulliently melodic, fervently uplifting indie-pop anthems, fronted by twin lead guitars and vocals and shot through with memorable lyrics.
