Eco Friendly Gingerbread House

Here is an environmentally friendly, delicately painted entry for this year's Origins UK Gingerbread House Competition. Construction is gingerbread covered with rolled fondant and painted with food coloring. Look closely and you'll see the sedum-covered roof has its own wind turbine. Lebanon, Ohio: Look for a Gingerbread Masterpiece at Your Kroger Store

Today's Cincinnati Enquirer tells the tale of Christi Hall of Lebanon, OH, who loves making gingerbread houses so much that she photographs inspirational real-life houses. Her latest creation, a big and elaborate home that you can preview above, is now on display at the Kroger store on Columbus Ave.
