Mahek’s Holiday Party Makeup Tutorial:
Mahek’s Channel (Mac&Chic):

I knew right away that I wanted to do a green makeup look for one of my two holiday parties this year.  I rarely wear color in real life (as clothing or on my face) but the holiday season has me feeling extra festive this year, and I love the way green makes my brown eyes pop.  Green and red can be a very cliched pairing this time of year, so I dealt with that by making the overall makeup look very glam.  I think that made this feel very intentional, as opposed to kitchy or cliche.

I absolutely love how this look turned out.  It was fun to push myself outside of my neutral comfort zone, and pair a bold lip with a bold eye.  If this look is too bold for you, don’t worry!  Throughout the tutorial for this look, I have alternate options to make each part of the look more subtle.  Always do makeup that YOU are comfortable wearing – and remember, if you don’t like it, you can wash it all off and start over 🙂
