The Arches Cafe Bar and Restaurant is the perfect stylish spot to seek solace from the hustle and bustle of Argyle Street. With all our menus comprised of fresh, locally sourced products, it’s ideal whether you want to relax with a quiet coffee, share a leisurely lunch with friends, or indulge in a sumptuous three course dinner over a bottle or two of top quality wine.
WHAT’S ON IN THE CAFE BAR |
Resident DJ Peter Collins: Cutting his teeth on Glasgow’s Glasgow’s notorious after hours scene, where he first showcased his taste in all things electronic from techno to disco, vinyl-obsessive Peter Collins has since enjoyed slots at clubs and festivals across the UK, with Glasgow appearances including clubNME, Blitzkrieg Bop and Death Disco.
Every Friday, 8pm-midnight.
Arches Cafe Bar Takeovers: Every few months, we invite an artist or performer to bring their individual vision to the building, experimenting with the design, decor and menus in the restaurant to create a unique new space. We then host a few evenings where the artist performs some new work as the audience enjoys an excellent value three course meal for just £9.95. Past guests have included Adrian Howells’ alter ego Adrienne, Fish & Game, Johnny McKnight, Martin O’Connor and many more.
Quarterly; see the Arts Events Listing page for details of the latest installation.
