Aesop's Fables

Belle Jones presents

Aesop's Fables

Thu 30 Jun - Sat 2 Jul 2011 | 12.30pm and 3pm | £5 adult /£4 child /£15 family ticket (2 adults and 2 children)

Whatever happened to the boy who cried wolf? Or the fox and the goat when they fell down a well? Can an ugly jackdaw really be the King of the Birds? Who’s stronger: the North Wind or the Sun?

Rambling storyteller Aesop is coming to the Arches, Glasgow with a trunk full of ancient fables – all with a distinctly modern twist. Using masks and puppets, songs and rhyme, a group of talented young artists and performers will bring to life some of the best-loved stories in the world.

An informal mask-making workshop will run for 20 minutes before each performance for the children in the audience, with some help from Fair Feathered Friend. No booking is necessary. Please arrive 30 minutes before the show times above and ask at the Box Office counter for details.
