Nic Green: Cock and Bull

Wed 6 May 2015 | 9.45pm (60 mins) | £6/£4 (Behaviour Festival Pass: £60/£53) (+ £1.50 online-only TF | 18+

A scratch performance by Nic Green, with Laura Bradshaw and Rosana Cade.

On the eve of the General Election, three females will convene to perform an energetic exploration of the voice as reflexive instrument, using words from Conservative Party conference speeches.

Cock and Bull both removes these words from their original contexts of power, whilst magnifying their potential meanings in the world. It creates a space of ‘otherness’ where the vocalists yield power in the extraction of these words, and find catharsis in their utterance.

Exploring the spaces between sound and text, politics and performance, the abstract and the literal, Cock and Bull is a choreography of words and a speech of the body, underpinned with the real-time energy of political dissatisfaction and Tory tongue-speak.
