A workshop and conversation on filling blank spaces with new thoughts.

New York performance artist Peggy Shaw had a stroke in January 2011. Rather than lament the ideas that disappeared into the dark holes left behind by the stroke, Peggy decided to celebrate the fact that her brain was able to fill those holes with new images and insights.

This participatory session, run by Peggy and her collaborator and co-writer/director Lois Weaver, uses performance methods to explore issues of memory and the power of the imagination in the face of extreme circumstance.

N.B. This workshop takes place at Art in Hospital, The Creative Space, First Floor, G Block, Western Infirmary, Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, G11 6NT.

Spaces are limited so advance booking is essential – to book your space please call 0141 211 6344.

Peggy performs her new show RUFF at the Arches on Wed 10th April as part of BEHAVIOUR 2013.

Now in its 5th year, the 2013 programme sees 15 different shows featuring Scottish talent alongside work from London, Berlin, New York and Canada.
