I am here.
Here I am.
You are here.
Here you are.
This is it.
Is this it?

Sarah wants to know who she is.
Sarah wants to know who she is in different social situations.
Sarah wants to know if you can ever really be yourself.

Best of You is a solo performance incorporating autobiographical material to explore identity.

Sarah Galloway is a performer, deviser, facilitator and theatre creator.

Sarah’s work primarily focuses around personal experiences both past and present in an attempt to have a better understanding of the world she is only a small dot in.

Sarah’s recent work has included performing in a drained swimming pool, protest theatre outside the Citizens Theatre, to performing in the Closing Ceremony for the Glasgow 2014 XX Commonwealth Games.

Sarah believes that theatre in whatever form it takes should take people on a journey, act as a form of escape or even just to entertain them from the daily humdrum of life for a while.

About Into The New 2015 | a festival of new work from final year students of the BA Contemporary Performance Practice course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

As we open the Pandora’s box of Into The New this year, we can be sure that the work of this group of graduating students will raise some ‘impertinent questions’. Their performances seek to offer intellect and challenge, hope and humour, bravery and commitment.

Your role, as audience is to ‘domesticate’ their ideas, to deal with them and perhaps to explain them, to yourselves, and to each other. With that we wish you luck, as the class of 2015 may refuse to be tamed!
