On the night Benji will be joined by NYC legend and Master At Work Kenny Dope for what promises to be a very special night.
Benji B is one of the UK’s most respected DJs. Renowned worldwide for his radio shows and club sets alike, he’s amassed a fan base who have come to see him as a leader in the future music movement. Having worked tirelessly since first falling in love with Londonʼs club culture at an early age, Benji B stands today as one of the UKʼs most respected broadcasters and DJs. As renowned for his deep, crate plundering club sets (which take in everything from soulful electronic music to hip hop, house and beyond) as much as his eclectic, taste-making selections. Alongside his weekly BBC show on Radio 1 Benji has been running his club night Deviation Sessions in London now in it’s sixth year. Each month he installs a bespoke soundsystem on which have played the likes of Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Joy Orbison, Floating Points and Skream to Moodymann, Dam-Funk, Theo Parrish, Omar-S, Gerd Janson and many more. Over it’s five years Deviation has been widely regarded as one of the very best club nights.
Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez is one of the most prolific artists of the modern music age. The four time Grammy nominated musical genius has been entertaining and astounding the masses alike with his fusions of house, hip-hop, Latin, jazz, funk & soul, reggae, alternative pop and broken beats for 20 years. A founding member of seminal first wave house music duo Masters At Work, he has released tracks on Strictly Rhythm, Freeze, Nervous, Henry Street Records and TNT under different aliases. MAW’s Nuyorican Soul was born in 1993. Titled after their heritage (Puerto Rican), residence (New York City), and style of music (Soul). The Nuyorican Soul album was completed and signed by music maestro Gilles Peterson. Every aspect of the albums creation had Kenny’s unerringly creative imprint written all over it. The album marked a particularly important moment, and the albums release in 1997 marked Kenny Dope’s transition into one of America’s most important contemporary producers.
His breakthrough as a solo artist came in 1995 with the album The Bucketheads. One track stood out, ‘The Bomb (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind).’ The song was an instant sensation. Gonzalez had gatecrashed the European pop charts with his first major hit. Over the next ten years Kenny went on to remix R.Kelly, Shirley Bassey, The Jackson 5, Aaliyah, Kanye West and countless others. If Kenny wasn’t working on MAW productions or someone else’s project, he was releasing his own originals on his Dopewax label. He founded Kay-Dee Records in 2003. In 2007 another fresh venture that Kenny has taken on is a partnership with Mark Finkelstein, founder of Strictly Rhythm Records. The two partnered up and created the label Ill Friction.
Other projects have included 12-piece band The Fantastic Souls, a hip-hop album, and production for Raekwon, Joel Ortiz and others. With his long-established reputation as a DJ extraordinaire Kenny consistently shows his distinctive ability for programming superior beats while blending a myriad of music styles to deliver the ultimate MIX. Kenny showcases a melting pot of house, jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop and others while keeping the show colorful, energetic and soulful. Gonzalez continues to build his reputation. Whether its sitting behind the control board playing to his followers, or searching for the next great re-release classic, the beat master will continue to shine as THE Master at Work.

As Scotland’s original superclub, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world.
Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to a continuous roster of the world’s most in demand DJs and producers from across the dance spectrum, whether it be minimal techno, big bassline electro, hardstyle, deep house, UK bass, dubstep or trance.
With a Funktion 1 soundsystem and three fully stocked bars spread over six subterranean arches, the space is transformed each weekend depending on the faces behind the decks. From huge, sell out nights with platinum selling Ibiza trendsetters such as Alesso and Laidback Luke or legendary acts such as Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, to the hottest, most-hyped names on the dance scene’s lips – from Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz to Jackmaster and Omar S, ours is one of the most diverse club programmes in the city.
As well as the Arches’ own club nights, which have recently brought the likes of Hot Creations label, Madeon and Chase & Status to the venue, for many fans the Arches is synonymous with either of its two biggest nights, Pressure and Colours.
