The Arches presents
Sat 18 Feb 2012 | 11pm-3am | £12 + bf
For the first time ever, London’s foremost dubstep and grime station Rinse FM is going on tour with some of their favourite acts of the moment. Ending with a massive blow out rave at London’s notorious Fabric, the Rinse team will be calling in at the Arches with possibly the finest line-up of the tour: current headliner of the UK scene Zinc, the much-hyped grime newcomer MC P Money and Rinse FM regular party starters Plastician, Brackles and Elijah & Skilliam.
One of the key players at the birth of jungle, Zinc‘s career has seen him move from the exhilirating world of pirate radio to producing some of the scene’s most pioneering anthems – Super Sharp Shooter, his remix of the Fugees’ Ready Or Not, 138 trek. His achievements in the UK dance scene are remarkable, consistently redefining boundaries and helping to push new genres. After a producing/DJing hiatus, Zinc’s return to the decks in 2009 reestablished him as a true master of his craft – and one who will always know how to truly devastate a dancefloor.
It’s fitting that he will be sharing a bill with some of the most hyped names in bass music right now. Since 2008′s What Did He Say, grime MC P Money – formerly of the Fatal Assassins crew – has become one of the most revered names in the underground scene, known for his fast flow and presence in the dubstep scene, whilst Plastician (formerly known as Plasticman) has been instrumental in connecting the east London grime scene and the south London dubstep scene, rising from his pirate roots to a current Radio 1 residency after his fresh approach to both genres was recognised by the mainstream dance industry.
Brought to you by The Arches in association with Mixed Bizness, prepare for some serious damage to the Arches soundsystem at one of the biggest bass showcases of the year.

As Scotland’s original superclub, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world.
Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to a continuous roster of the world’s most in demand DJs and producers from across the dance spectrum, whether it be minimal techno, big bassline electro, hardstyle, deep house, UK bass, dubstep or trance.
With a Funktion 1 soundsystem and three fully stocked bars spread over six subterranean arches, the space is transformed each weekend depending on the faces behind the decks. From huge, sell out nights with platinum selling Ibiza trendsetters such as Alesso and Laidback Luke or legendary acts such as Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, to the hottest, most-hyped names on the dance scene’s lips – from Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz to Jackmaster and Omar S, ours is one of the most diverse club programmes in the city.
As well as the Arches’ own club nights, which have recently brought the likes of Hot Creations label, Madeon and Chase & Status to the venue, for many fans the Arches is synonymous with either of its two biggest nights, Pressure and Colours.
Slam have now been playing and promoting in the Arches since 1992 with their monthly techno and house night Pressure celebrating it’s 16th anniversary in November 2014. Normally taking place on the last Friday of the month, Pressure sees the biggest names in the game playing regularly, with guests like Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Maya Jane Coles, Pan-Pot, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Len Faki, Dubfire, Gary Beck, Visonquest, Heidi, Vitalic and Green Velvet joining resident DJs Slam in recent times.
Scotland’s biggest dance promoter, Colours regularly bring the biggest and best names in big room house, tech-house, electro and trance to the venue, with recent guests including Alesso, Otto Knows, Laidback Luke, Dannic, Hardwell, Markus Schulz, Showtek, Gareth Emery, Nervo, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Nicky Romero and many more.
