Hot Since 82__________

The weekly ShangriLa welcomes Hot Since 82, the Leeds-based producer and DJ currently igniting underground dancefloors with his low-slung, deep-funk house. With releases on Get Physical and Noir Music, his debut album, Little Black Book, was released this October on Moda Black – Radio One kingpins Andy George and Jaymo’s offshoot label dedidated to deeper, darker cuts. The hype surrounding the release snowballed as the crazily in-demand producer slipped out one track a week via his website, including deep, slick remixes of Rudimental, Green Velvet and Shadow Child.

We’ll be welcoming back The Shimmy/St Judes resident Vilmos on warm up duties – get down early to hear the likes of these tunes.

1. An imaginary remote paradise on earth; utopia.
2. A distant and secluded hideaway, usually of great beauty and peacefulness.

ShangriLa is a clubbing experience like no other. Every Wednesday night, Glasgow’s infamous underground railway arches will be transformed into a treasure chest of surprises where anything goes, youth is eternal, and drinks prices are eternally low…

With entertainment and décor inspired by festivals across the globe and some of the hottest DJ names around providing the soundtrack, each week will offer a completely different experience. Hot Since 82 will be joined on the night by the ShangriLa residents: Gnarls (one half of electronic duo Mia Dora), Duffy, Greenman and DJs from Glasgow club night Boogaloo (St. Judes).
