Here's how to find the Arches.



The Arches,
253 Argyle St,

The main entrance for all arts and corporate events, most gigs, the Box Office and the Cafe Bar is at 253 Argyle Street – underneath Heilanman’s Umbrella at the Central Station south entrance.

The entrance to club events and some large gigs is still at 30 Midland Street.

N.B. Please see individual events pages on the arts, gigs and clubs pages to confirm which entrance to use for this particular event.

Booking Tickets
You can buy tickets for most Arches events online – just click on ‘book tickets’ in the title bar. Otherwise you can book by phone on 0141 565 1000 or in person at 253 Argyle St. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Maestro for all tickets bought in advance at Argyle St. Please note that if paying on the door for any events entering through Midland St (clubs and bigger gigs) we can only accept cash. Also please note that no latecomers will be admitted to theatre performances.

Mon – Fri:   9.30am – 8pm
Sat:   10pm – 8pm
Sun:   Closed (or noon – 8pm on days when an event is on)

How to get here
By Train: Leave Central Station by the south escalator (by Platform 11) onto Argyle St, the Arches is directly opposite. From Queen St Station turn right along George St, left down Buchanan St and then right along Argyle St. www.thetrainline.com

By Bus: From Buchanan Bus Station walk all the way down Buchanan Street until you reach Argyle Street and turn right. www.citylink.co.uk

By Underground: St Enoch’s tube is two minutes away (see map)

By Car: Exit at Junction 19 off the M8 and follow signs for the city centre to get onto Argyle Street. Turn right down James Watt Street at the traffic lights, left at the bottom onto Clyde Street and then left again at the rail bridge up Oswald Street. Turn right along Midland Street for the club entrance or park on Oswald St for the Argyle St entrance which is on the right at the top of Oswald St. On street parking is restricted until after 6pm. There is a Thistle Car Park at the far end of Midland St on the corner of Jamaica St and Howard St.

Customer Access
Wheelchair Access: We have level access to our Studio Theatre and main arch spaces as well as a wheelchair-accessible lift to our Café Bar and basement spaces. Accessible toilets are available in both the Café Bar and main arch spaces. There is room for up to 6 wheelchairs in our Studio Theatre – please let Box Office know when booking if any of your party are wheelchair users. A raised platform is available for wheelchair users at standing concerts – please let Box Office know in advance if this is required.

Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs are welcome in the Arches.

An Infra-red Modulator is available in our Studio Theatre. Please let Box Office know in advance if this is required. An Induction Loop is available at Box Office – please turn your hearing aid to the T position.

Please ask Box Office or Front of House staff for help should you require assistance with any of our facilities. We offer free tickets to assistants for people with impairments to all Arches arts events.
