The Arches held more than 250 events last year, with almost 150,000 people attending, as well as thousands of customers visiting our Cafe Bar. There are various sponsorship opportunities available for our club nights, theatre shows, live music programme and festivals. Along with bums, the Arches are now putting names on seats...

The Arches Theatre has 100 seats all looking for their very own friend or sponsor. Whether you are a corporate company, a charity or someone who would like to dedicate a seat to a friend or loved one, for £50 (individual) or £100 (corporate) your name will appear on a plaque attached to the seat for one year. We will also feature our sponsors and friends in the Arches brochure and on our website. This support will allow us to keep improving our facilities and continue to develop as one of Scotland's leading multi-arts venues.

An alternative way of becoming involved with the work of the Arches is to become a corporate sponsor of one of the many events held in the venue. There are enormous costs associated with managing, promoting and overseeing events. Sponsorship, at any level, would free up funds for bigger and better arts events. As Arches Theatre is a charitable organisation we rely on sponsorship and commercial activity to support our arts programme.

Some of the sponsorship opportunities available in the venue are: 

• Theatre seat sponsor: sponsor an Arches theatre seat for only £100 and get your name on a theatre seat plaque, the Arches website and brochure for one year.
• Arches Theatre Company: one-off tours round Scotland or 3 week runs at the Arches four times a year.
• Equipment for people with disabilities: we are currently raising money to buy infra red equipment and induction loop for the theatre and Box Office for people with hearing difficulties.
• Arches Theatre Festival: Annual festival showcasing the cream of new and innovative theatre in Scotland
• Arches LIVE!: Twice yearly mini-festivals of new and cutting edge performance and theatre work
• Instal: Three-day festival of new music. Now in its sixth year, experience a sensual range of live experimental, electronic, and contemporary classical music. Featuring a cast of international musicians, as well as providing a platform for Scottish based artists.

The opportunities for involvement with the venue are as varied and exciting as the venue itself. We look forward to working with you and creating a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.

Gift Aid The government Gift Aid scheme adds tax relief to your donation. For every £1 you give, the government will add 28p to it, which means donating £100 to the Theatre Seat campaign allows Arches Theatre (the charitable side of The Arches) to claim an additional £28. It doesn't cost you a penny and all you need to do is phone Maria McHugh on 0141 565 1005 and she will send you out a Gift Aid form to fill in. This will allow Arches Theatre to claim back tax on all your donations to Arches Theatre in the future AND we can claim back tax on any donation you have made to us since April 6th 2000. It's as simple as that!
